- Pihemanu is the Hawaiian name for Midway Atoll and means, "Loud Din of Birds," which is of course absolutely accurate. This is just too cool of a place not to share with people, so during my three month stay I hope to somehow convey the uniqueness that is Midway.

No, no, I think you are flattering yourself. They are much more graceful. You keep comparing yourself to these birds but i just think that's unfair to the birds!!!:) They look like they are wearing flippers. Very funny.
